Women in Business Leadership Academy

About WBLA

Women in Business Leadership Academy is a 9-week BUS 206 credit class designed to provide participants with personal and professional skills to enhance their success in college, careers, and life. We provide participants with a mentor who fits their career goals and will be a point of reference throughout the program, as well as weekly speakers, professionalism workshops, and a company tour in the Bay Area.

See how WBLA can help you grow.

Mentees

  • First and Second Year OCOB Students

  • WBLA mentees gain invaluable skills, BUS 206 credit, and a supportive network of like-minded, ambitious young women. Each mentee is paired with a small group and a dedicated mentor to foster both personal and professional growth. The program includes weekly Friday meetings featuring guest speakers, interactive workshops, and a corporate tour in the Bay Area!

Mentors

  • Second, third, and fourth year students in OCOB

  • WBLA mentors help lead a group of incoming first year/transfer students and help them navigate OCOB. They work with mentees in small cohorts throughout the program, helping develop their professional skills ranging from resume building, cover letters, interviewing, and more!
